The Evolution of Samsung: Galaxy S25 Release Overview

Samsung is set to unveil its Galaxy S25 series on January 22, 2025, during an Unpacked event in San Jose, California, scheduled for 10 a.m. PT.

The lineup is expected to include the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, with the possibility of a teaser for Samsung's upcoming XR headset, codenamed "Project Moohan."

In terms of pricing, reports suggest that the Galaxy S25 series will maintain the same price points as the previous generation in Europe. The Galaxy S25 is expected to start at €899, the S25+ at €1,149, and the S25 Ultra at €1,449.

Among the anticipated features, the Galaxy S25 series is rumored to incorporate the Qi2 wireless charging standard, enabling up to 15W wireless charging. Additionally, the S25 Ultra may offer up to 16 GB of RAM, enhancing overall performance.

Samsung is also expected to introduce a revamped Bixby assistant powered by large language models (LLMs), aiming to surpass Apple's AI capabilities. This new Bixby is designed to provide advanced interaction with applications, better context understanding, and improved on-screen element recognition.

The Galaxy S25 series will debut with One UI 7, based on Android 15, bringing features like audio eraser tools, automatic call transcription, and an enhanced writing assistant.

While the Galaxy S25 Slim has been rumored, it is expected to launch later in 2025, possibly in the second quarter.
