Very good laptop. Compared to newer laptops, this would be a great laptop for school or low-end gaming.
It came with a 128GB 800MB/s m.2 drive, which was slow for Windows 11, so I upgraded to a 1TB 3,500MB/s m.2 drive. There are conflicting reviews and information from the manufacturer about whether it has additional RAM slots, but not with this one. All RAM is soldered to the motherboard and must be taken to an Acer store for an upgrade. The machine comes with 6/8GB of RAM, which drops to 4/8GB after the update. Even with only 4GB of free space, the system is very fast. The processor was the main feature that made me order it as it is a quad-core processor with eight threads and a clock speed ranging from 2.5GHz to 4.3GHz. After trying some power-intensive games, the temperature did not exceed 50°C and the machine remained quiet and cool to the touch. When the fan is not under heavy use and is quiet, it generally maintains a constant temperature of around 41°C. The screen quality is good but not suitable for gaming as it is LCD instead of LED, the frames per second are higher and the screen is a bit blurry when gaming. Tip: If you install a different operating system, the WiFi driver will not be reinstalled with the system, making online activation practically useless unless you have a USB Ethernet adapter. In performance mode, the battery lasts about 6 hours, but in power saving mode, the battery lasts more than 9 hours at some power settings. The graphics card offers 600MB dedicated and 3400MB shared, but unlike many other systems, the entire share goes directly to dedicated space, leaving 4GB available for the graphics card. The price-to-performance ratio is very high and the look is very modern. My brother tried it and is now considering buying it for its good performance. If you know what you’re doing, there are some upgrades to consider: a new m.2 drive with faster transfer rates and perhaps an improved 15.6-inch 1080p and 4K display.
