Walmart has listed the new Onn 4K Pro streaming device and smart speaker a week after the product hit the real world and appeared on the store's website.
The new Onn 4K Pro is priced at $50 and has new features including built-in smart speakers with support for Google Assistant, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and HDR.
It also comes with a remote with a Free TV button that directs you to free, ad-supported Google TV channels, as well as a customizable star button to launch apps or change TV inputs.
The Walmart device has a microphone, so you don't need a remote to interact.
The device works similarly to the Nest Mini with Google Assistant, as you can ask the Onn 4K Pro to play YouTube videos, turn on your smart home lights, and more, all without using your hands.
This Walmart device also looks similar to the Nest Mini, with a built-in mesh cover and a set of four LED lights.
Google doesn't make the Onn 4K Pro, though it appears to be a successor to the $50 Chromecast with Google TV that Google launched in 2020.
In comparison, the Walmart Onn 4K Pro supports Wi-Fi 6 as well as Ethernet, while the Chromecast with Google TV supports Wi-Fi 5.
The Onn 4K Pro runs on a quad-core processor with Mali-G31 MP2 graphics and has 3GB of RAM, compared to 2GB on the Chromecast with Google TV.
The Walmart device has 32GB of internal storage, while the Chromecast with Google TV has 8GB of internal storage.
Onn 4K Pro lets you summon Google Assistant by saying “Hey Google” without having to press the remote.
