Microsoft's PC Manager app has received a major update, adding an improved file cleaning feature that makes it easier to free up storage space.
The app is available in select regions, including Asia and the UK, and was developed by the company's small engineering team in Asia.
Microsoft describes PC Manager as a simple application that frees up RAM and internal storage space.
Additionally, your Windows computer will run faster by deleting temporary files or Windows update cache.
PC Manager is primarily designed for the South Asian market. People in countries like China prefer applications that can quickly improve Windows performance by freeing up internal memory and RAM, such as: B. CCleaner.
Microsoft developers want the app to be available outside of Asia and are working to expand the features of PC Manager.
Microsoft has released a new version of PC Manager that brings dark mode by default in Windows 11 and 10.
Additionally, there are new and improved file cleaning features that make it easier to clean up files, scan large files in user-defined partitions, and even remove duplicate files.
The app has a new window for each category so you can quickly find files that are taking up space.
There are also new interface improvements in PC Manager with better performance and simplified settings, as well as another notable change: support for the updated desktop toolbar, which now includes a Bing search bar.
You can type anything into the Bing search bar and Microsoft Edge will open with your search query.
You can perform a deep clean scan by selecting:
- Downloaded files: This option lets you manage downloaded files from Edge, Chrome, and other apps in your Downloads folder.
- Large files: The application can identify files that occupy a large storage space, which is useful for finding forgotten or unnecessary files, and you can also search in all storage sections.
- Duplicate files: The application scans Windows for multiple copies of the same file stored in different locations, making it easier to clean up files stored in different locations.
