MediaTek has released the new Dimensity 9300+ processor as an updated version of the Dimensity 9300 processor.
The processor maintains TSMC's third-generation 4nm manufacturing technology, with an ARM Cortex-X4 core running at up to 3.4 GHz and an ARM Cortex-A720 core running at up to 2.0 GHz.
The Dimensity 9300+'s AI processing capabilities are improved over the previous generation, thanks to new NeuroPilot predictive decoding acceleration technology in MediaTek's latest generative AI engine, boosting performance by up to 10%.
Generative AI collaborations include Alibaba, Google, and Meta.
The APU 790 AI engine supports large language models with parameters 1B, 7B, and 13B and can be expanded up to 33B. It can also run large language models quickly and efficiently.
MediaTek claims that with NeuroPilot decoding acceleration technology, the Dimensity 9300+ can run large language models with 7 billion parameters at a rate of 22 symbols per second, which is more than twice as fast as competing solutions in the computing market.
The 12-core Arm Immortalis-G720 GPU features a second-generation hardware ray tracing engine for a fast 60fps ray tracing experience and platform-level global lighting effects.
