Place it on the charger immediately after receiving it. Before I started using it it said: 62% charged to 100%. Once you understood the mechanics and your piping, building was easy. Advertised battery life is 10 hours, but I got about 7 hours before I needed to charge the battery. The old Lenovo Yoga tablet is pretty much the same. Does this apply to everyone at Lenovo? It can be returned and tried on another device. I'll leave it at that for now and see if things improve, I won't hold my breath. As an update, battery life is still around 7 hours on a full charge after a week. You have three weeks to return. Updating again, after consulting with tech support, I reduced the screen brightness to 50% and got 9.5 hours of battery life that I could live with. We will try other ways to save battery.
