I'm not good with electronics and there were no instructions on how to connect it. All necessary cables were included, so I connected them all between my laptop and my monitor and it worked! There's nothing left to download or anything. I simply use a C cable from the laptop to the monitor for power and an HDMI port from the monitor to the laptop to use as a second monitor. Works perfectly! I've dropped it a few times and it still works great!
