The tablet I received only came with two accessories: a charger and a USB-C charging cable. When I turned it on, I found that it was 80% charged, which is enough to complete the standard initial setup of an Android device. After logging into my Google account, I loaded the CPU and it also displays the version number of the operating system installed and can run various hardware tests.
To my relief, I didn't find any bloatware or non-Google apps that couldn't be uninstalled immediately after the initial setup.
I did not notice any difference between the application reports and the specifications displayed in the menus or mentioned by the operating system. However, specifying the amount of RAM is a bit misleading. It is specified with 8 (4 + 4) GB or simply 8 GB of RAM. In fact, the tablet has 4GB of physical RAM as well as 4GB of virtual or expanded storage space. It is important to note that virtual RAM does not improve performance at the level of physical RAM. Although it can allow multiple applications to run simultaneously in the background, it does not support resource-intensive applications that require more than 4GB of RAM, nor does it speed up the device up to 8GB of physical RAM. Basically, virtual memory is not a substitute for physical memory, it is much inferior.
On the other hand, the processor specifications provided are correct. It has a 64-bit octa-core processor, and I also checked its internal memory using the CPU The tablet offers an internal storage space of 128 GB; However, due to the load on the operating system and pre-installed applications, only 110GB is available. An Android OS check confirms that the device is running the latest version of Android 13, ensuring compatibility with the latest apps from the Google Play Store. The screen has a resolution of 1280 x 800 and an aspect ratio of 16:10, which is higher than 720p but less sharp than 1080p.
I can also confirm that the tablet supports 10-point multi-touch. I tested this feature using the CPU X app, which successfully recognized all 10 of my fingers. However, the tablet does not have vibration functions.
I installed the resource-intensive indoor cycling app MyWhoosh, which takes up about 6GB of space on my tablet. I usually run this app on my Windows laptop, but my tablet seems to be able to handle it. To adapt to the device's capabilities, the application automatically reduces the resolution and frame rate. Despite these adjustments, the graphics still look satisfactory to me.
The 8-megapixel rear camera, or 7.99-megapixel as the CPU X calls it, was sharp enough to take photos of documents and allowed me to read text clearly. It offers a maximum resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels. The autofocus feature is fast and allows me to take clear photos with minimal effort. The camera supports true digital zoom, which enhances images without increasing pixels or compromising sharpness, with up to 1.99x zoom. However, the pre-installed camera app has limited functionality, so I installed Open Camera from F-Droid's open source app store to get more functionality. Unfortunately, the tablet lacks facial recognition, which is indicated by a zero in the "Max Face Count" field on the digital CPU.
I was able to connect the tablet to a 5GHz WiFi network and achieve a connection speed of 258Mbps. In addition, the tablet's Bluetooth connection is stable and lag-free. I rely heavily on Bluetooth when running the MyWhoosh app. Using the app, my cell phone communicates with my ergometer, which then continuously transmits my current pedaling speed to the app. I haven't experienced any random disconnections while training with MyWhoosh in over a month.
The battery capacity is 5000 mAh, which allows me to use the tablet for at least 8 hours without charging it. However, actual usage time varied depending on which apps I had running.
The tablet's design isn't particularly distinctive, but I like the dark silver gray color and sturdy sides. In the horizontal layout, all ports and buttons are on the left side. From top to bottom, in the lower left corner are the volume buttons, the power button, an SD card slot protected by a rubber flap, a standard USB-C port with OTG support, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. I noticed that the speakers were mounted horizontally at the bottom, about three inches apart. I like the space between the left and right speakers, as many tablets place the speakers closer together rather than on the longer side like this one.
It was able to run all the popular apps like Facebook, YouTube, Messenger, TikTok, etc. do not be late. I have been using this tablet for about a month and it has not once frozen or heated up while charging. I find it very reliable in my daily tasks.
