I love this screen so far! The 27-inch form factor is perfect for my 40-inch desk. Despite the matte coating, the color remains bright and vibrant. I actually prefer the matte finish to reduce glare (I have a window directly behind me). I can't say anything about the stand that came with the monitor, as I installed it right away on my stand, which saved a lot of desk space.
I love the RGB lighting on the back! ! It creates a soft glow around the screen, which is really nice in a dimly lit room (as shown in the photo). I originally wanted to purchase an LED light strip but decided it wasn't necessary.
A common complaint I see is "text fringing" caused by the new subpixel layout on 27-inch OLED displays (not just LG). I was worried and bought an LCD monitor before this happened. In the end I returned it because I didn't like the display (dull colours), I tried it on an OLED screen and I'm glad I did because the edges of the text didn't bother me, and yes I can see it if I sit close to the screen or the text is small at a normal viewing distance, it doesn't bother me at all . Things like reading web pages, documents, and chatting in MMO games are fine for me.
There are some vertical lines, but only on a gray background. I don't see this with normal content/use. Most OLED displays have this feature to some degree, so it doesn't bother me.
LG now offers a 2-year warranty on screen mirroring (see website for information). It will calm me down if I read the spoiler soon.
Overall, I recommend you try this monitor if you're considering it! It is fun to play and watch movies.
