We use it as a second monitor in our home office. We took the laptop home after work, plugged in the included HDMI cable, and immediately got a wide, bright, and clear screen. Excellent brightness and contrast. It is beautiful and delicate and has narrow, precise edges. The base is solid and well made. The included power adapter has a long enough cord that we didn't have to pull on it to access the extension cord, which is a plus in this price range.
The only downside was that I, my wonderful wife, and our amazing 10 year old had to figure out how to attach the base to the screen, but it was the teamwork that made the dream a reality. The instructions (useless thumbnail type) are not helpful. However, I would choose this product again because it is just as good, if not better, than more expensive name brand products.
