I purchased this monitor as a second monitor along with my other Asus monitor which is a different model. I can say that while I was never happy with my first monitor, the images on this monitor are much sharper in comparison. I didn't even have to configure it directly because the default settings are pretty good. My monitor also came with a DisplayPort cable, which is a welcome change in 2020 from DVI or even HDMI.
This screen is a lot of fun to play on and great to work on. The only downside is the location of the control buttons. Due to their configuration, they are difficult to access from sites, but I don't expect everyone to have the same problem.
The look of the screen isn't particularly high quality, but it's still very good. The edge is beveled, but very thin, which I may personally prefer.
I installed it so that a 100mm VESA mount would work fine if you bought it for this purpose. It has a nice shallow hole in the back for mounting, although you do have to remove the stand (which is normal in my opinion).
In general, the screen is good, the price is reasonable, the image quality is good, and the performance is good. Oh, and it's definitely 144Hz, and you can change it to 165Hz in the graphics driver, but since my other monitor is also 144Hz, I kept that frequency so I wouldn't be distracted by the difference.
