Samsung plans to integrate Galaxy AI into its smartwatches

Samsung has announced plans to expand Galaxy AI capabilities to more device categories, including wearables.

This comes after the company last month launched its first smartphones equipped with Galaxy AI technology, the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra, which were very well received.

The Korean company has no plans to stop there, as Roh Tae-moon, director of mobile experience, said that the company hopes to bring the benefits of Galaxy AI to its wearable devices in the future.

Samsung plans to use artificial intelligence to enhance digital health and usher in a new era of enhanced and intelligent healthcare experiences.

He said that Samsung intends to work with leading partners in the field of artificial intelligence in the future to improve all of its products.

The company did not reveal much about these upcoming features, although they may debut in the upcoming Galaxy Ring and Galaxy Watch 7 series, which are expected to be unveiled in the second half of this year.

Both wearables are expected to launch in Q3 2024 during the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6.

The company has improved its fitness and health tracking features as well as the accuracy of its smartwatches in recent years.

With the Galaxy Watch 4, Samsung is relying on Wear OS to bring more apps and integrations to its wearables.

The company is also working with universities and companies to improve the performance of its smart watches.

People can quickly get more answers from data collected by smartwatches using artificial intelligence.

Lu Taiwen said that artificial intelligence will completely change Samsung's smartphones and the entire industry.

He explained that the company has many ideas and thoughts that it wants to implement locally. In the future, more AI features will be available on Galaxy devices, including smartphones, smartwatches and tablets.

Tai Moon also pointed out that artificial intelligence is still in its infancy and is vulnerable to hallucinations, and there are discussions about intellectual property rights.

The executive said that companies need to cooperate openly in the field of artificial intelligence, taking into account the challenges and responsibilities, reiterating that Samsung will continue to work to improve the privacy and security of Galaxy devices.
