I'm a subscriber to a YouTube channel and we thought it would be nice to have an additional travel monitor to make video editing etc. easier. Even if that screen wasn't 4K when you edited it, it doesn't matter. At $60, it's a good deal and seems good enough for our short-range tuning and travel needs.
There are two USB-C ports on one side of the monitor, followed by a mini HDMI port. I don't have a mini-HDMI adapter, but when I connect it to my 14-inch MacBook Pro, the USB-C port comes into its own. The Mac recognizes it easily and extends the desktop well. I like that it includes a case/lid that allows you to prop up the screen and keep it covered when not in use, making it more portable. For comparison, that's about the same size as a regular iPad.
It gets pretty bright, but certainly not as bright as a Mac's Retina display. It claims a brightness of 400 nits, which I think is good compared to other monitors I have that aren't as bright. Viewing angles are very good, but since it's IPS, that's to be expected.
It also connects well to my iPhone 15 Pro, and I have to admit I've used it once or twice to play remotely with my PS5. It actually works. Overall, this is a small monitor with an excellent price-performance ratio.
