I've purchased seven laptops/Chromebooks in the past three years. The computer is not good. One dies, the other dies at the end station, and the screen separates from the keyboard. The only one left on the PC scale was the 11.6 hp one I bought next and it was very slow and had a bad camera. Apple can do this, but it requires batteries. Then I have four Chromebooks in different sizes, from 11.6 to 15.6. This equates to an average height of 14 inches. The design is very elegant and flat. It looks like a Mac. It appears to be lighter than other products that are described as heavier. I think that's the design. It has a white keyboard which is the best compared to the light keyboard. I specifically found a white keyboard. Depending on what you want to do, your computer may work fine. I enjoy simple programming, storing and editing photos, writing, the Internet, music, movies, and gaming. It's not a powerful machine, but it does more than the HP PC (11.6) I bought for the same price. This works better. It offers better performance than other Chromebooks. The camera is better than the HP computer. But the best part is the amazing battery life. You will relax for 12 hours. The battery does not discharge when turned off. Other Chromebooks have crashed a couple of days after I turned them off. This is not the case, it uses the same components as my Android device. This means you have charging options almost everywhere.
Overall it's a good choice. Best Chromebook I've ever used, better than my HP 11.6. Apple certainly has it right, but the device's battery makes up for its glaring shortcomings.
