Review ASUS ROG Swift PG32UCDM 4K OLED Gaming Monitor

ASUS ROG Swift 4K OLED 32" Gaming Monitor (PG32UCDM) - UHD (3840 x 2160), QD-OLED, 240Hz, 0.03ms, G-SYNC Compatible, Dedicated Heatsink, Graphene Film, 99% DCI P3, True 10-bit, 90W USB-C, 3-year warranty

The first thing I have to say is that the screen is amazing.     The colors are very vibrant and the darkness is a deep black.     The build quality is solid and the screen itself feels expensive.     Settings offers many features and is easy to configure and use.     I'm using an Acer Predator 4k 165Hz monitor. You'll immediately notice the difference in contrast, saturation, and, most importantly, the glossy screen itself.     I only use it for gaming and web browsing with non-HDR content.     So I can't comment on the HDR capabilities, which others consider mediocre.     The only problem I had was the VRR flashing, which is unfortunate.     Fortunately, my software works fine and this only appears during the loading screen.     Regular games with constant frame rates are barely noticeable.     However, I would like to point out that you may experience some VRR flickering when VRR is enabled, which could be worse.     This goes away if you turn the VRR off, but at this price it would be foolish to consider buying this device with the VRR turned off.     I've also had issues with some older games crashing because they don't support the 240Hz refresh rate. This only happened with two games I tested, such as Company of Heroes 2. This issue was resolved by changing the game frame rate value in Steam to 60,120,144, etc.     You also hear a lot about pixel cleaning, which is annoying, but I think it's better than forgetting and getting tired.     I usually play games like Elden Ring, RDR2, The Witcher 3, and BG3 to get closer to 240Hz, but it still runs well and still looks great.     Overall I would give it 8/10.     If you get an MSI ID 4k 240Hz QD-OLED, say so and buy it, as reviews seem to be generally better and fewer people are reporting VRR flicker.     Hope this will help you.     The games begin!

***FYI: I was lucky enough to get it from a seller for $1,349.99.     I wouldn't buy it from a seller who is offering it for more than €2000, it's not really worth it, and the scary thing is that these people are asking so much for it, it's ridiculous.

As I mentioned at the end of the review, the MSI is much cheaper and gets good reviews. So, if you can get one of these, I recommend it.
