My home office setup is a second ACER ultra-wide monitor mounted on a floating arm. It's a great monitor, but for some reason, it's so buggy that I can't get my work laptop (Dell CAD Workstation) to find the right resolution. I had to play around with the settings (since it was a 75Hz monitor) and eventually my system learned the correct settings... and even then, my system would occasionally see the monitor as a PnP monitor with a normal resolution of 1920 x 1080 or when it would intermittently flicker on and off ( It seems to be difficult to find the right settings/sources (the older MS Surface products (SurfacePro5 and SurfaceBook2) are auto-detected and not 75Hz anyway). It's not great.
Now turn on your AOC 27 inch monitor. It's a big screen, but with the basic settings: 1920 x 1080, around 60Hz, which is much thinner than the largest ACER monitor and this AOC monitor is very "frameless". It fits our small home office computers best and is instantly recognized by all our PCs and Windows operating systems and adjusts the correct settings effortlessly. This is a clean, bright, sharp image display, which is much better for our older laptops than this spacious ACER.
I had high hopes that the ACER would be an ultra-wide device... but the longer rectangular 27-inch AOC is actually better to use. The AOC Real Estate display has an area of 13.5" x 24"... while the ACER Super Wide has an area of 11.5" x 27". Taller/narrower AOC displays work better when reading web pages, creating presentation slides, or doing computer-aided design (CAD). This may just be a preference (based on my usage), but it's special. I think a very wide range might be more suitable for gaming, but it's not suitable for other purposes.
