Microsoft is preparing to launch a suite of productivity apps called Microsoft 365 for the Apple Vision Pro later this week.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and OneNote will be available in the App Store for Apple Vision Pro glasses on February 2, the same day the new glasses will be available in stores.
Apple has always described its Glasses as primarily a productivity device, so adding Microsoft's product will make users more productive.
Vision Pro users can access the Copilot AI Assistant while using a headset and use their voice to create drafts, summarize documents, and create PowerPoint presentations.
Vision Pro's Word app features a focus mode that's very similar to the reader mode in the desktop version, as well as an easy-to-use ribbon interface.
You can use Vision Pro to create PowerPoint slides and practice presentations using the app.
The EX provides the ability to create charts and tables, analyze data, and has most of the features you will find in the standard version of the EX.
Microsoft previously offered a 3D meeting and VR meeting experience in Teams that only worked through the Meta Quest headset, although Microsoft Mesh platform integration with Vision Pro headsets was not currently available.
Microsoft said: “We continue to provide innovative experiences for new devices, including the launch of the Vision Pro retina platform next year.”
Vision Pro's Teams platform supports digital avatars based on facial scans during video calls.
Microsoft has also added emoji interaction and the ability to join Teams chat experiences.
It's easy to send a Teams meeting from your computer or phone to your Vision Pro glasses, or from your headset to another device.
Many companies like Microsoft and Disney supported the Vision Pro headphones at launch, with some notable exceptions.
YouTube and Netflix don't release apps for the glasses, forcing headphone users to stream videos via a web browser.
