Tesla announced the electric vehicle production and delivery report for the fourth quarter of 2023. The total delivery volume in the fourth quarter of 2023 was 484,507 vehicles, while the total production volume in the fourth quarter of 2023 was 494,989 vehicles.
The total delivery volume in 2023 will reach 1,808,581 vehicles, and the total production volume in 2023 will reach 1,845,985 vehicles.
The electric car maker led by Elon Musk announced deliveries of 1.31 million vehicles for all of 2022, of which 1.37 million electric vehicles are in production.
The new figures show that supplies are increasing by 38% annually and production is increasing by 35% annually.
In 2022, the company reported 40% annual growth from 2021.
Tesla executives said in October 2023 that the company could reach 1.8 million vehicle deliveries for the full year, falling short of its previous goal of 2 million vehicle deliveries.
Based on consensus estimates, analysts expected Tesla to deliver 477,000 vehicles in the quarter before the end of the year.
Tesla does not break down deliveries and production by specific model, though the company said it produced 476,777 Model 3 and Model Y vehicles, and delivered 461,538 vehicles in the quarter.
The company did not provide any information about production or delivery numbers for the Model S or model
Tesla sold an updated version of its Model 3 sedan in select markets in the fourth quarter of 2023.
In December, the company began shipping small quantities of its controversial Cybertruck electric vehicle to the United States.
Tesla has not released Cybertruck numbers or production and delivery numbers for its semi-heavy truck, which has so far been manufactured in small batches at its battery factory outside Reno, Nevada.
Tesla also reduced its prices in global markets in the last quarter of 2023.
Tesla currently operates two vehicle assembly plants in the United States, two factories in China and Germany, a battery factory in Nevada and other companies that produce residential or utility-scale components, charging and storage devices. Large batteries can be installed.
The company also plans to build another car factory in Mexico.
