Samsung officially confirms the development of the “Galaxy Ring” smart ring

Samsung has officially confirmed that it is developing a smart ring called Galaxy Ring, showing a short teaser video during the launch of the new Galaxy S24 series.

Samsung says that the device will be a powerful tool for maintaining health and fitness, and the company did not reveal any other details about the ring’s specifications, features, or launch date.

It is difficult at the present time to know more about Samsung Ring, but it is expected that it will be officially announced and made available in the second half of this year, as the company hosts two major events to present its new mobile devices, one of which is at the beginning of the year and the other in the middle of it.

It was previously reported that Samsung will cooperate with the Japanese company “Miko” to design and produce this smart ring. The company also registered the “Galaxy Ring” trademark early last year.

Smart rings often look like traditional rings, but they contain sensors and chips that monitor vital signs, record the user's health data, monitor motor activity and sleep, and connect to apps running on smartphones to view and monitor vital signs analysis. Data.

Samsung is not the first company to launch a smart ring. There are several products on the market, the most famous of which is the “Oura Ring” from the Finnish company Oura.

Last year, Samsung filed a patent for its smart ring that can control home appliances and record electrocardiogram (ECG) activity.
