AOC 22B3HM 22" Full HD 75Hz Monitor, Adaptive Sync, HDR Mode, Home & Office, HDMI, VGA, LowBlue, Vesa
My home office setup is a second Acer Ultraide monitor on a floating arm. It's a great monitor, but for some reason, it's so buggy that I can't get my work laptop (Dell CAD Workstation) to find the right resolution. I had to play around with the settings (since it was a 75Hz monitor) and eventually my system learned the correct settings... even then my system would sometimes see the screen as a regular 1920 x 1080 PnP screen or flicker intermittently. Because it's hard to find the right settings/sources (that's where auto-detection goes). Both switch between older MS Surface products (SurfacePRO5 and SurfaceBook2); If these are connected to an Acer ultra-wide display, that's the worst possible explanation for the Blurry Extended 1920x1080 (which isn't 75Hz anyway). It's not great.
Now turn on the AOC 27-inch monitor. It's a big screen, but it has basic settings: 1920 x 1080, around 60Hz, which is much thinner than the largest ACER monitors, and this AOC monitor is very "bezelless". They fit better/easier on a small home office computer arm. It was also instantly recognized by all of our computers and Windows and easily adjusted to the correct settings. This is a clean, bright and clear image representation. Our older laptops are much better than Acer's wide range of laptops.
I had high hopes that the ACER would be a very nice device...but the longer, rectangular AOC fares better. The AOC's display real estate is 13.5 x 24 inches, while the Acer Super Wide's display area is 11.5 x 27 inches. Taller/narrower AOC displays work better when reading web pages, creating presentation slides, or performing computer-aided design (CAD). This may be a preference (based on my usage), but it's noticeable. I think a very wide color gamut might be more suitable for gaming, but it's not suitable for other purposes.
