Google has added several new features to its Google for Education platform, including a set of tools to help develop educational experiences, help teachers easily organize lesson plans, and communicate with students remotely.
The new features are designed to help teachers save time so they can create lesson plans, develop lessons, and create presentations easily and quickly. Some new features also help students understand the material better.
Below we mention the 7 most important new features that Google added to the Google for Education platform:
1- Duo Assistant for Artificial Intelligence:
With the Duet AI assistant built into the Workspace app, teachers can find new ideas and save time. You can use it to get help writing lessons in Docs, creating presentations in Slides, and creating lesson plans in spreadsheets.
2- Make it easier to create, manage, and share training courses in Google Classroom:
The new Resources tab in Classroom allows teachers to easily create, manage, and share interactive lessons from one place.
3- Add electronic signatures easily:
The electronic signature features built into the Google Workspace app make it easy to add signatures to documents and PDFs stored in Google Drive, track and manage contracts, and request signatures from other users of non-Google accounts.
4- Create interactive videos:
Teachers can add questions to videos within the classroom platform to increase engagement. Students can answer questions and receive real-time feedback on their answers, and teachers receive detailed reports on student performance to provide appropriate support. Later, teachers can discover the benefits of AI and receive question suggestions tailored to video content.
5- Provide real-time support:
Workset uses artificial intelligence technology to help teachers create interactive lessons. This allows students to interact with teachers and receive real-time feedback.
6- Supporting differentiated education in educational services:
Later this year, teachers will be able to divide students into different groups within Classroom and deliver different content to groups of students based on each group's specific needs and learning abilities.
7- Record an attractive presentation:
Teachers can use the speaker recording and presentation features in Presentations to record engaging learning content and send it to students before class, allowing students to prepare their questions before class and extending class interaction and discussion time.
