I purchased this Dbit router hoping to get rid of the Spectrum router that was charging $5 a month to rent. I have been using it for about 10 days. As long as I'm using the 5G band, I can handle it.
The 2.4GHz band only gives me about 20-50Mbps while the 5GHz band gives me a maximum service of 400Mbps. I just enabled WiFi band routing in the management console and honestly didn't notice any difference in performance compared to my Spectrum router. I always had top speeds inside my apartment, around 280Mbps unless I was holed up in the kitchen. But based on the speed tests I ran earlier, the 2.4GHz band performed very poorly. I don't know much about this area, and I know there could be many factors at play, so I shouldn't blame the router if I don't know the situation.
As other commenters have pointed out, there doesn't seem to be an option for WPA3, only WPA and WPA2.
