This screen is incredible. I bought the 27-inch 1440p curved version.
Image/Screen:
Previously, I had a basic 24-inch 1080p monitor from Asus, and let me tell you, the upgrade was worth it. Colors simply appear on the screen. Color coverage is much better than my old monitor. I didn't realize until now how much color I was missing. However, I tried HDR because that's what is advertised, but I'd say it's not quite there. Yes, the screen is brighter, but I would say you lose at least 20% of color coverage (if not more). Honestly, HDR is pretty good. If that's a big selling point for you, I don't recommend it at all. I also experienced significant backlight loss, so blacks weren't as dark as they could have been (which is one reason HDR doesn't work well on this device). For these two reasons I gave it one star.
Game:
This is the main reason I bought the monitor. It's a dream to play here. I mainly play Apex and the color coverage is excellent. The contrast is rich, just like Batman. It's easy to overdo it to the point where you can't see people in dark areas. However, with some settings changes, this issue can be resolved properly. At this point the factory settings are fine, but if you calibrate it it will be 2 times better. It took some time to get used to the curves, improved size, and resolution, but once I got used to it again, the game felt great. I didn't experience any screen tearing, motion blur, or input lag. However, I set it at around 100-110 fps, so I haven't reached the max yet.
Work environment:
I really can't say much about it. I didn't even remove the stand and immediately attached it to my desk top bracket (VESA 100mm x 100mm). I did this because factory support seems easy. There is no height adjustment or swivel, just tilt.
