With 2023 coming to a close and Nvidia heavily promoting its cloud game streaming service, the company is also looking to the past year with GeForce NOW.
The company announced that 2023 is the year of premium gaming, as the service received a number of successful games and enhanced features with the introduction of the Ultimate membership category.
The launch of Ultimate Membership brings powerful cloud gaming to North America and Europe, powered by the new GeForce RTX 4080 SuperPODs graphics chip.
For the first time in the cloud, GeForce NOW members can stream at 240 fps or 4K at 120 fps with Windows and Mac apps and enjoy Ultra HD support for a smooth, immersive gaming experience.
Nvidia claims that streaming at this speed is due to the Ada Lovelace GPU architecture, which is the successor to the Ampere GPU architecture developed by Nvidia.
More than 1,800 games are now available to stream on GeForce NOW, and gamers will be able to stream 250 million hours on the service by 2023, the company announced in a new blog post.
The blog post also notes that GeForce NOW has begun adding games published by Microsoft thanks to a 10-year partnership between the two companies announced in February.
The deal also brings Xbox games for PC to the GeForce NOW service as well as 100 games included in the Game Pass subscription.
Following Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard in October, NVIDIA GeForce NOW is adding Activision Blizzard games to the service, starting with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and III and Warzone.
Thanks to DLSS 3 and Reflex technologies, Ultimate members enjoy higher frame rates and lower latency for a smooth gaming experience.
