Apple has finally ended support for the first generation iPhone SE

Seven years after the original iPhone SE was introduced, Apple announced that it will be adding it to its list of legacy devices.

The American company began launching the first version of the iPhone SE in early 2016, which was not available in the market until the end of September 2018, which allowed the company to include it in Apple’s list of old devices, which were defined as devices that had been left for five years. years or more.

Once the first edition iPhone SE is added to the list, it will be difficult for Apple's official repair centers or authorized representatives to perform repairs on the phone. However, repairs can still be made if spare parts are available.

It is worth noting that Apple has already stopped supporting the phone through updates, as support was removed with the launch of iOS 16 and updates stopped with the iOS 15.7 update.

Apple offers iPhone SE phones that are relatively inexpensive compared to the basic iPhone phones, and the company has launched three different versions, the latest of which is the iPhone SE 3, which will be released in 2022.

Recent reports indicate that Apple intends to release a fourth version in the future, as these versions always attract many customers and encourage them to upgrade from older versions or abandon Android phones.

Apple has also ended support for the second-generation iPad Pro entirely, as the company has also added it to its list of older devices.
