In addition to computers and web browsers, Microsoft officially launched "Windows" applications for various Apple devices.
The new application acts as a central platform in addition to running Microsoft 365 applications, “Devbox” development services, and others.
The new application will be available on a range of different devices and operating systems, including iPhone, iPad and Mac computers, as well as desktop and laptop computers running the same Windows system. The Android version is expected to be released soon.
According to the company on its official website, the application can also be run on your computer via a web browser, eliminating the need to download and install the application.
The Windows app features a customizable Start screen that provides access to your Windows system, various Microsoft services, and remote computers from one place.
The app lets you sign in with one or more Microsoft accounts and switch between them.
The application offers many other options such as support for multiple displays, control of screen resolution, and accessories such as printers, cameras, and speakers.
Microsoft claims that calling through the app is completely safe as the app is still in beta and changes may be made before the final release.
The new Windows app is a step toward moving its systems and applications to run in the cloud and deploy them on non-Windows devices.
Earlier, it was reported that Microsoft is working on developing an upcoming version of Windows 12 based on software and cloud services.
