Under this agreement, Dronamax will provide Aramex with innovative drone technology to enable same-day delivery over medium and long distances. The partnership will initially focus on the UAE before expanding to other key markets including South Africa and Australia.
Aramex was founded in 1982, is headquartered in the United Arab Emirates, and is listed on the Dubai Financial Market. It is one of the largest global logistics companies. It transports and delivers 100 million packages annually.
Dranamex and Aramex have a shared vision for the drone freight market and will initially explore opportunities for joint freight services in the UAE before exploring other key markets.
The Strategic Sector Development Fund, as a strategic investor in Dronamix, has contributed to the collaboration that will enable Aramex, known for setting the standards in logistics and express transportation, to offer the drone delivery solutions developed and managed by Dronamix on a larger scale.
Dronamics offers drone delivery services that are 80% faster, 50% cheaper and produce 60% lower carbon emissions than traditional delivery services. This makes it the perfect choice for the express delivery industry that Aramex is famous for. Its remote-controlled aircraft, known as the Black Swan, can land and take off from just 400 metres, making it a viable solution for reaching remote and isolated areas where traditional airport infrastructure is missing or poorly developed.
