WABetaInfo reported that instant messaging service WhatsApp began rolling out an improved interface and began testing in September last year. The version number of the service application for Android systems is 2.23.20.10.
With the new and improved UI, WhatsApp aims to better adapt the app to Android's Material Design 3 design language by introducing new colors and icons.
With WhatsApp for Android version 2.23.21.12 now available on Google Play Store, WhatsApp is working on a new feature to create events as a reminder system integrated into community group chats, WABetaInfo said.
In addition to the ability to create events, WhatsApp version 2.23.21.12 also features a new and improved user interface, according to a Meta-owned website that monitors experimental WhatsApp features.
The website released screenshots of the new interface, which includes new icons to provide users with a modern experience by improving the overall visual appearance of the application.
Additionally, the service has updated the main theme color for light and dark modes to a new green, as well as new colors for chat bubbles and floating action buttons.
WABetaInfo notes that the interface is also available to a limited number of beta testers who have installed the latest beta update for WhatsApp Business.
We believe that this update also confirms WhatsApp's commitment to improving its interface. By offering a new and improved user interface, WhatsApp aims to provide users with a more modern and engaging experience.
WABetaInfo said: “In our opinion, this change not only shows their investment in improving the user interface, but also shows that WhatsApp is actively listening to user feedback and following the latest design trends, as many users have asked for similar features over the years to be rethought.”
According to the website, it is clear that the messaging service is taking steps to keep its application interface modern and easy to use.
It is important to note that WhatsApp may gradually make some small changes to the interface, such as launching new icons without implementing a new color scheme. “This will allow more users to experience the new interface within a few days,” WABetaInfo said.
The new interface is available to a limited number of beta testers who have installed the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android available on the Google Play Store, and will be rolled out to additional users in the coming weeks.
