Huawei launched a smartphone with amazing features and became the fastest-growing smartphone maker in China in the third quarter of this year, according to a new report.
The report said that this growth brought Huawei's share in the Chinese market once again within walking distance of the five largest smartphone manufacturers.
According to a report published by Counterpoint Research on Thursday https://www.counterpointresearch.com/insights/china-smartphone-sales-q3-2023/, the Chinese tech giant's smartphone sales rose 37% year-on-year. The company's market share reached 12.9% during this quarter, compared to about 9.1% a year ago.
Sales of Honor, China's largest smartphone maker, rose just 3% year-on-year, according to Counterpoint Research.
Vivo, Oppo and Apple all recorded double-digit declines. The research company did not mention in its report the number of phones sold to each company.
