Samsung is developing advanced displays for the Galaxy S24 phones

The South Korean company Samsung plans to produce screens with advanced features for its upcoming Galaxy S24 phone.

According to current leaks, in addition to the Plus and Ultra versions, the company will also launch a basic Galaxy S24 phone with a Super AMOLED screen and a brightness of up to 2500 lumens.

If these leaks are true, the Galaxy S24 series displays will be 40% brighter than the current Galaxy S23 phones.

Due to its high brightness, the Galaxy S24 screen can support Ultra HDR technology that Google recently introduced in Android 14.

Ultra HDR technology allows you to capture photos and videos in HDR format and then display them in the same format on compatible phones.

Some Chinese companies already offer this feature on some of their advanced phones. Although it is not available in the new One UI 6 update, Samsung is currently working on it with the expected screen upgrade.

Currently, most HDR photos and videos on Android smartphones are converted and displayed in the standard SDR format, resulting in loss of HDR information.

Some Android device manufacturers rely on their own methods for displaying HDR files on displays that support them, but Google is now making this feature standard in Android 14.

The upcoming Galaxy S24 phone is expected to receive further improvements in terms of cameras and internal specifications, in addition to extensive integration with artificial intelligence technology.
