Very happy with the performance of this device. With SignalScan in particular, my experience is that some networks run slower than others, but once the scan is complete and a faster network is found, data transfer rates reach expected 5G speeds. Even in Yosemite Valley, where cell reception is spotty, the device exceeded expectations, despite no data without cell reception.
The build is sturdy and the battery lasts for days. WiFi 6 signal is secure and strong; Connecting multiple devices wirelessly is no problem, and when you're not connected to the hotspot, Wi-Fi can automatically turn off to save power and increase device security. One feature I haven't used yet is the ability to insert an external SIM card into the device, which could come in handy when traveling, especially if the destination favors a particular cellular network. However, if SIMO data plans work well on different data networks around the world, there may be no need to purchase additional data plans or local SIM cards.
