Setup is very easy. I opened the taskbar and scanned the QR code to download the Linksys app, which guided me through the installation process. From unboxing to full operation, it took about 5 minutes, or as we call it 10 minutes. This is the time it took me to place two additional mesh nodes around my house as recommended in the app. The best part? Network setup was smooth and automatic. Simply plug it in, follow the instructions, and get started.
Over the next 15 minutes, I connected all 12 devices (laptops, smartphones, tablets, TVs, doorbells, thermostats, etc.) to the new WiFi network using the latest WPA3 security network. Although the Linksys mobile app is simple enough for most users, you can manage advanced settings via the web app if necessary.
Nice factor:
Aesthetics are more important than most people think. I often find the latest WiFi routers that have 6-8 antennas sticking out, making them look like some sort of alien robot spider. What I needed was a Wi-Fi system that would blend unobtrusively into the space and become part of the decor instead of distracting from it. The Linksys Velop Pro 6E works well in this regard, as its cylindrical design and built-in antenna make it a stylish, unobtrusive addition to any room. Absolute eye-catcher!

I've tested it around my house and consistently recorded signal strengths above -65 dBm (which is considered excellent). When I ran speed tests on different devices using Ookla, I almost reached the maximum bandwidth set by my ISP, which was 500Mbps. Keep in mind that I specifically wanted the Wi-Fi 6E system to take advantage of the new 6GHz band. I have a few smartphones and laptops with 6GHz radios and have had Wi-Fi speeds of up to 2401Mbps.
After 48 hours of work, the verdict in the house was unanimous: everyone was happy and the Wi-Fi was working well. This deserves 5 stars!
