I'm going to college soon and need a laptop. After reading many reviews I chose this one. Thanks to the high-end processor, it's performed very well so far, and I've also found that the backlit keyboard helps me a lot in the dark.
I can't comment on battery life because I don't use it often, but after calibrating the battery, it generally lasted over 9 hours on a maximum charge, even when I used it on lower power settings. I will come back with updates after my hard academic work.
Anyway, you may have seen the images accompanying this review, so the secret is out, but this laptop appears to have a second secret M.2 slot hidden next to the fan. Simply disconnect the ribbon cable, peel off the black tape, and you're done. The functionality is also very complete. I installed a 1TB Crucial P3 Plus with a thermal pad to prevent the ribbon cable from heating up. After the reboot, I was able to format the new SSD and now have another terabyte of space in the object.
It's a bit strange that they decided to hide this slot and not say a word about it, even though it would make the product more attractive, and I only know this because I discovered the notch option for the laptop. Video, someone contributed the comments.
Although I have nothing but praise for this laptop, I only gave it 4 stars because it has 16GB of RAM. Although it's very feature-rich, there's no reason for a manufacturer to include RAM other than to make sure a laptop like this gets outdated faster.
