Microsoft Edge for Android summarizes websites with one click

Microsoft has released a new update to the beta version of its Edge browser for Android that allows users to summarize web pages with one click.

Copilot's AI personal assistant button is located in the middle of the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen, and when pressed displays a brief summary of the page directly in a new window.

You can also start a conversation with your personal assistant by tapping suggested questions about page content, asking additional questions via text or voice message, or uploading a photo.

It should be noted that the desktop version of the Edge browser also provides the compilation function through the Copilot personal assistant, but this requires running the personal assistant and then using the compilation command, while the new function of the mobile version simplifies this task in one step. a step.

In addition to summarizing web pages, Microsoft Edge can also summarize PDF files and ask questions about their content in the same way.

This feature uses the GPT AI model to collect and extract responses from pages and files.

Microsoft is testing the new feature in a beta version of the browser on mobile phones, calling it “Edge Canary,” and is expected to make it available to all users soon.

On the other hand, many other companies are now relying on artificial intelligence systems in browsers, including Google, which also provides the option to integrate websites into its Chrome browser.
