Lenovo launches the IdeaPad Flex 5 Chromebook with a 14-inch screen

Chinese company Lenovo has officially launched the new IdeaPad Flex 5 Chromebook, which is one of the budget laptops.

The Lenovo Flex 5 features a 14-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, a brightness of up to 300 nits, a contrast ratio of 800:1 and a traditional 60Hz refresh rate.

Since the device has a 360-degree hinge, it can be used as a laptop or tablet.

The device is about 20 mm thick and weighs about 1.58 kg. It contains multiple ports, including two USB-C ports, a USB-A port, a microSD port for adding external memory cards, and a dedicated port for headphones or wired earbuds.

The computer is equipped with a 13th generation Intel U processor, ranging from a dual-core i3-1315U to a quad-core i5-1334U. It also comes with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128 different storage capacities. Or 256 or 512 GB PCIe 4.0 SSD.

The Lenovo has stereo speakers and supports Waves MaxxAudio function for improved sound quality, a 1080p fixed focus webcam, and the computer has a built-in 51 Wh battery.

Lenovo hasn't announced pricing for the new IdeaPad Flex 5 Chromebook, but it's expected to start around $400.
