Google has officially launched Chromebook Plus laptops, a new range of Chromebooks with improved specifications, excellent screen and webcam performance, and artificial intelligence features.
Chromebook Plus features fast processors, double the RAM and storage space of standard Chromebooks, 1080p displays and webcams, while leveraging AI to enhance images with video apps. Video chat like Google Meet and Zoom. Instructions can be found on the official website.
Chromebook Plus specifications include 12th Gen Core i3 processor or higher, AMD Ryzen 3 7000 series processor or higher, 8GB or more of RAM, and 128GB or more of storage as minimum limitations. For this specification category, it is possible to offer devices with higher specifications.
These devices contain a variety of new applications based on artificial intelligence technology, such as: b. Google Photos, Movie Maker, Lumafusion video editor, and more.
The devices also include Adobe Express, which features generative AI to create images based on text commands, as well as create drag-and-drop videos, TikTok videos, posts, reels, and more.
Google works with four tech companies to make Chromebook Plus devices: Acer, Asus, Lenovo, and HP.
The devices cost between $400 and $800 depending on specifications and will be available starting in October.
