X (formerly Twitter) announced on Thursday that subscribers to its paid service (X Premium) can now hide posts they like from other users.
Once the feature is enabled, XPremium subscribers' Likes Posts tab will disappear from their profile page.
It is worth noting that at the end of August last year, Company X announced that it would hide likes from users subscribed to its paid services. Therefore, the previous rollout may have been limited and has now begun to roll out more widely.
Elon Musk, the billionaire who bought the company in late October, has said in the past that he wants posts that users want to keep private to remain private.
The bookmark feature available to all platform users can be used in the same way if they want to save their favorite articles in a place where other users cannot see them.
“Keep your 'Popular' likes private by hiding the 'Like' tab,” X said in a post announcing the feature, adding that the feature is only available to subscribers of premium service platforms.
However, screenshots released by the platform show that likes will not be completely hidden, as likes from users subscribed to the X Premium service will still be visible on individual posts.

It's unclear what happens when a user stops paying for Premium
It's worth noting that Musk's likes are still visible. In a post on the platform, he suggested staying visible to the public and using the favorites function for “interesting posts.”
Musk has added a range of features to (XPremium) to entice people to pay for the service, which starts at $8 per month in the United States.
