Threads offers a feature to search for posts

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said Thursday that the text-based social networking platform, Threads, has begun rolling out search features.

Last week, Zuckerberg announced that Threads would be launching a search feature, and yesterday he added a message to his original post stating that the feature is now available in most English and Spanish speaking countries and will be available in more countries. The country is fast.

In a statement to technology site The Verge, Meta spokesperson Sin Kim confirmed that the feature is rolling out in the US and UK and will also be available on the Meta web app.

Threads began testing the feature in Australia and New Zealand last August, which allows you to search posts on the platform based on specific keywords. Previously, only searching for users was possible on the platform.

When you perform a search, the application continues to display a list of users relevant to your search terms. However, if you select the "Search" option at the top, you can scroll through articles containing that keyword.

It is worth noting that testing the new feature comes just days after Meta announced the launch of the web version (Threads), which will make the platform available via a web browser.

Meta launched Threads in early July last year to great success, attracting more than 100 million registrations in its first week amid months of chaos on Twitter.
