I'm a little hesitant to buy a "no name" monitor with these specifications. I was actually expecting to return it shortly after receiving it, but I was very surprised. A few caveats before the review: This is a sub-$200 monitor and I would rate it accordingly. This is not the equivalent of a $500 or more gaming monitor. The 5-star rating is primarily due to the fact that performance is as good or better than other monitors in this price range. I challenge you to find another 27-inch QHD, IPS, 165Hz monitor in this price range. The picture is great, the colors are right, and the painting is flawless. I bought this budget gaming rig for my eldest daughter, who was clearly trying to make it as "budget" as possible so she could play Fortnite at a decent resolution and frame rate. This monitor is surprisingly up to the task. I don't think I can buy more at this price. There are some drawbacks, but that wouldn't stop me from buying it again. They have terrible speakers included, the sound is hollow and distorted which doesn't matter for our device as my daughter uses gaming headphones and I imagine most people interested in this monitor would too. The build quality is very good, everything except the base/stand is plastic and looks like cast iron, but it's still quite heavy for the monitor. The display doesn't look cheap, but it can't be mistaken for a premium display either. The LEDs on the back are not controllable, they are always the same color as the rainbow, it would be nice if you could adjust them. If you're on a tight budget and want a really good quality screen, this is a great option. When I bought it there was a $25 off coupon and I felt like I was getting a special deal. Don't forget to spend your savings on gaming headsets.
