Acer Nitro 27-inch FHD 1920 x 1080 PC IPS Gaming Monitor | AMD FreeSync Premium | Refresh 180 Hz | Up to 0.5 ms | Supports HDR10 | 99% sRGB | 1 DisplayPort 1.2 and 2 HDMI 2.0 | KG271 M3biip, black
Built-in On-Screen Menu: Yes, it is accessible via the joystick and you have 3 buttons that help you select different categories or customizable modes.
Bezels and Edges: It's 0.5 inches from the edges that we start to see the screen. This means that there is an inch separating these two screens side by side. This is pretty good for a dual setup, and I personally would invest in a 2K/4K monitor setup for this.
Viewing Angle: This monitor offers incredibly sharp and stunning viewing angles, making it ideal for editors on a budget.
Brightness or brightness: actually very bright, very bright. My device is running at 0% brightness with night mode enabled, but it's still quite bright. I had to adjust settings other than brightness to dim the light on the screen. This is an LCD panel with LED backlight.
Responsiveness: The HDMI 2.0 and display cable supports up to 165Hz right out of the box. I'm not experiencing any ghosting and I don't have a GPU, so I'm currently using a Ryzen 2200g APU. I played Apex Legends, COD War Zone, and League of Legends. I can't try other games because I don't currently have an RTX 3080.
Adjustability: The screen can be tilted up or down. To support horizontal viewing, you will need a mounting bracket. This desk stand is very stable.
Screen: Full HD 1080p LCD screen with LED backlight. The monitor comes in a thick foam package. 100% no dead pixels, I can't believe there are 0 dead pixels. I have friends who bought expensive monitors with dead pixels. Surprisingly, I don't have any of these problems. But I noticed a slight increase in IPS. I'd say a very small amount because it's almost unnoticeable until the screen goes black and you have to squint at the left corner to see it. Eye-friendly and suitable for long-term gaming.
Screen size: A 27-inch monitor is 24 to 25 inches wide and 14 to 18 inches tall, depending on how you measure height. According to my dimensional checks, the screen is 27 inches.
Screen appearance (build quality): Black with barely noticeable red accents on the stand. The indicator lights up blue when the screen is on and dark orange when the screen is off. In my opinion, Acer could add a glowing backlight on the back or a nice fingerprint on the plastic to make it look cooler.
Speakers: Perfect if you like watching YouTube or listening to relaxing music while working/studying. I wouldn't recommend it as a daily driver, but it's nice to have. The sound between them is not very loud, about 93 dB.
Contrast: Deep blacks are satisfactory, but could be better. It is an IPS display that helps in delivering high-quality images. I haven't adjusted the contrast yet because I'm happy with it.
Edge: Very narrow and clearly visible unless you use stretch wallpaper. The remaining pixels are not 0%.
Updated after 8 months of use:
(I can't afford a 6900xt or RTX 3080 at the moment, and even then I'll consider buying a PS5 for this monitor)
The HDMI cable has become a bit wobbly after 8 months, and as a true friend, I've noticed that watching certain videos on certain websites affects the image on screen. I have to reconnect it and strangely enough it's not a bad display, it's just that the HDMI secondary quality isn't great.
