Renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said on Monday that demand for the new iPhone 15 Pro Max exceeds demand for its predecessor, the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which was launched last year.
Ming-Chi Kuo's comments came after the American technology giant announced the opening of orders for iPhone 15 phones a few days ago on Friday.
Kuo revealed on the Medium platform that the demand for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus is comparable to the demand for last year's phones, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus.
As for the iPhone 15 Pro, analysts say demand is lower this year as more users look for updated camera experiences in more advanced models (iPhone 15 Pro Max).
Last year, wait times for the iPhone 15 Pro Max were “significantly” longer than its predecessor (the iPhone 14 Pro Max), not only due to high demand, but also due to ongoing production challenges and changing production schedules.
Finally, Ming-Chi Kuo expects shipments of the new iPhone 15 to reach around 80 million units by the end of this year.
It is worth noting that analysts at the investment bank and financial services company (Morgan Stanley) agreed with KB's previous call to buy new iPhones, saying that they are "better than we feared."

The launch of the iPhone 15 Pro Max will take an average of five to six weeks, which is “the longest time of any model launched in the past seven years,” analysts wrote in a report published Monday.
They added that reports from Chinese media "suggest strong demand for early pre-orders for the iPhone 15," although investor concerns are largely focused on China.
