Apple officially launches iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 for iPhone and iPad

Apple has begun rolling out iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 to eligible iPhone and iPad devices, and it's now available for download and installation.

iOS 17 is released for iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max, in addition to newer versions such as the iPhone 11, 12, 13, and 14 As well as cheaper versions, such as the second generation iPhone SE and later.

iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and iPhone X users will not be able to download the new system. Because Apple decided to stop annual system updates for these versions in iOS 16.

The new iPadOS 17 can be downloaded and installed on all iPads running iPadOS 16, except for the first generation iPad Pro or the basic fifth generation iPad.

iOS 17 brings many new features, including the StandBy function, which turns the iPhone screen into a monitor, the contact card function in the mobile application, and the NameDrop function, which, in addition to optimization, also allows easy information exchange that allows contact information between two iPhones. “Widgets” for applets and making them interactive, improved autocorrect, the ability to download maps and view them offline, the ability to send voice and video messages via FaceTime and much more.

Apple announced that it will delay the release of some features in iOS 17, such as the Journal app and Internet File Transfer, which allows continuous transfer of files between two devices over the Internet when they are offline. Additional delay features are provided. A subsystem update will be performed later.
