Microsoft will introduce a new Settings home page in Windows 11 that will provide users with a dynamic and personalized experience.
This redesigned page provides an overview of your device, quick access to important settings, and help with managing your Microsoft account.
In an update available to Windows Insiders through the beta channel, the company has added a home page with interactive maps that allow you to quickly navigate to various settings such as device customization, Bluetooth control, account recovery, and more.
This page also shows recommended settings, which vary based on specific usage patterns. This gives you shortcuts to the settings you use most, eg. B. Display, audio and search permissions.
Microsoft is also using this new home page to promote some of its services, with a section showing how much cloud storage you have in OneDrive and two cards for the status of your Microsoft 365 and Xbox subscriptions.
The company first began testing this feature on Windows 11 in June, and said: "At launch, the list will be up to seven cards, and we'll be adding more cards soon to make it easier to manage your settings and save you time." Microsoft.
Microsoft is also preparing to launch a new backup app for Windows, which first launched in May, that will help you back up your computer for when you're ready to use a new device.
In addition to automatically transferring existing settings to a new computer via Windows Backup, the application can also move pinned applications to the desktop, start menu, and taskbar.
Microsoft says it doesn't automatically install the app on new PCs, but it will provide a shortcut that will take you to the App Store or developer's site to reinstall it.
Microsoft has released a small update to the Dynamic Lighting feature to synchronize Windows' unique colors with hardware and PC components and assign custom colors to your devices.
All of these features are included in Windows Insider Preview build 22631.2262, which is now available through the beta channel.
