Samsung launches an application that uses artificial intelligence to provide the best recipes

Today (Wednesday) Samsung announced the launch of Samsung Food, an “AI-driven food and recipe app” available in 104 countries around the world in eight languages.

The South Korean tech giant said in a blog post that its new app is powered by the food database from Whisk, a recipe app that Samsung acquired a few years ago. The new application is similar to the Whisk application that was launched last year.

Launching a cooking and recipe app seems like a logical move for Samsung given the abundance of smart refrigerators and other gadgets in the kitchen.

The app allows users to search and save recipes from around the world and create weekly meal plans.

The company has more than 160,000 recipes coming to the market and this number will increase in the future.

(Samsung Food) can also work on mobile phones and smart devices that support the Samsung Family Hub platform, such as: b. Refrigerators, while allowing users to manage ingredients, purchases, etc.

Users can save recipes at any time and the app will analyze them, standardize the format, and organize them to create an ingredient-based shopping list.

It can also provide recipe recommendations based on available foods chosen by the user, and it has a “recipe customization” feature that uses artificial intelligence to modify recipes and create versions for different types of vegetarians.

“Users can create built-in recipes, such as Korean versions of Italian dishes, and customize the cooking time or difficulty of the recipes,” Samsung added.

The app uses artificial intelligence to create personalized daily meal plan recommendations based on food preferences and favorite types of cuisine.

Details of grocery ingredients can be viewed at any time and users can add items to their shopping list and shop directly from the online retailer.

When cooking online, the app allows users to preheat the oven, set timers, and transfer cooking settings to supported devices via step-by-step guided cooking modes.

It is worth noting that Samsung said last week that it wants to ensure that the application includes one million users around the world.

Although there are many recipe apps like Mealtime, Paprika, Yummly, etc., Samsung can have an advantage by selling millions of smart devices, which allows its app to reach more consumers.

Samsung plans to add new features such as integration with the Samsung Health platform to sync variable factors such as body mass index and calorie consumption while providing nutrition management tips.

By 2024, the app will feature AI vision technology, allowing it to identify foods through the camera and provide details such as nutritional information.

The Samsung Food app is available to download from the Google Play Store for Android and the App Store for iOS.
