I'm a digital nomad and use my laptop for work and play. Due to regular use, it is not uncommon to replace your laptop every two to three years.
I don't play games, I just use my laptop to surf the internet, use Google Docs, Zoom, and download/stream TV shows and movies.
If you're doing basic tasks, only have one browser tab open at a time, and your computer isn't using any other resources, this device is suitable. The screen size and resolution are good and the keyboard layout is very comfortable.
But here are the negatives I found:
camera.
Webcams don't let in enough light, so even in broad daylight or when the lights are on, you still feel like you're sitting in the dark.
Speed.
I admit that because of work, I always have about a dozen tabs open at a time. The site is loading very slowly and I'm sitting next to the WiFi router. Even though it's dual-band, I found that the laptop couldn't detect the WiFi signal like my old laptop. Freeze your Zoom meeting.
The USB port charges my phone very slowly. (1-2% per hour).
Electric switch.
There is no indicator light to indicate if the power cord is plugged in and/or charging. I often had to shake the cable to make sure it was connected properly until the charging icon appeared above the battery icon in the taskbar. However, if you're watching a movie and your connection drops, you'll find that your computer's battery is draining without you even realizing it.
The adapter plug is quite bulky and it is difficult to find where to plug it in if you are using an adapter or extension cable (picture attached). The wire itself is only about 1 meter long.
Overall, it's a satisfactory calculator for simple needs. But if you're a gamer, multitasking, zooming, or working online, I'd spend the money on a more powerful device.
