How to find and share QR codes in WhatsApp

WhatsApp is the most popular instant messaging app in the world and has many features that make it easier for people to communicate, including a QR code that you can share with other people so they can add you as their contact. Instead of manually entering the details, you may need to scan a QR code.

Here's how to find a QR code in WhatsApp and share it with others:

How to find the QR code in WhatsApp:

You can find the QR code of your number in WhatsApp and you can share it just from the mobile application by following the steps below. This is not possible if you are using WhatsApp on PC:

  1. Open WhatsApp on your Android phone or iPhone.
  2. If you're using an Android phone, tap the three dots button in the upper-right corner of the screen, then select "Settings" from the list of options.
  3. If you are using an iPhone, go directly to the Settings tab in the lower right corner.
  4. Click the green QR Code icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
  5. Click the Share button in the upper right.
  6. You will see a screen with two options, the first: (My Code), a QR code for your number so that other people who want to contact you via WhatsApp can scan the code directly to get your number. Second: the Scan option, which allows you to scan other people's QR codes and add their numbers.
  7. At the top of the QR code screen for your number, find the Share icon, and tap on it.
  8. Select the app you want to send the QR code to. You can send them via email or any other messaging application (such as Messenger, Instagram, Telegram, or even WhatsApp itself).

How to reset the WhatsApp QR code:

When you share your QR code on WhatsApp, anyone who sees it can scan it, add you as a contact, and send you a message. If you want to prevent this, you can reset the code, which will invalidate any QR codes you've created previously. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Open WhatsApp on your Android phone or iPhone.
  2. If you are using an Android phone, tap the three dots button in the upper right corner of the screen and select Settings.
  3. If you are using an iPhone, go directly to the Settings tab.
  4. Click the QR Code icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
  5. Click the three dots button in the upper right corner of the screen.
  6. Click on the Reset QR Code option.
  7. Click Reset.
