Here are 5 new features in the One UI 5.1 update from Samsung:
1- The benefits of using artificial intelligence to improve images:
In the latest One UI 5.1 update, Samsung introduced a new photo editing feature called Photo Remaster, which uses artificial intelligence to remove any noise in photos and automatically improve their poor quality. As a result, the quality of the photos will immediately improve significantly.
This function boosts brightness, sharpens details, corrects color even in backlit scenes, and removes unwanted ghosting and flare for perfect images - all at the touch of a button.
You can also use it to enhance GIFs for more precision and clarity. Also, Samsung has improved the preview to make it easier to compare the original image with the edited version by showing a slider in the middle of the preview. Dragging the bar left or right reveals before and after adjustments.
2- Improve search in the Gallery application:
New navigation improvements in One UI 5.1 make it easier to find photos in the Gallery app and create shared family albums. You can now easily search for multiple people or topics at once, and even search for people who don't have a photo by typing in their name. Simply click on a face in a photo to browse other photos in it.
Sharing photos with family members has also become easier with the new update, as the Gallery app recognizes family members' faces and suggests photos to add to the shared family album.
3- Take pictures in RAW format:
This update (One UI 5.1) includes many new features in the camera, including: The ability to get a copy of a photo (RAW) while it is being taken.
Previously, accessing this feature required installing the (Expert RAW) app on the phone, but now it is available directly in the (Galaxy Camera) app. Just click on the (settings) icon. Then, when taking pictures, click on the options (Advanced Picture Options), then click on the option (Professional Mode Picture Format), and select the format you want. Three options will be displayed: (JPEG format), (JPEG and RAW format), and (RAW format).
4- New Battery Tool:
One of the 5.1 UI versions has a new battery widget that displays the current battery level of your phone, connected devices such as speakers, smartwatches, and any other connected devices. It is similar to the iPhone lock screen widget but only works on the home screen.
By default, the battery widget shows the battery status of four devices, but you can resize it to include up to eight devices.
5- Remove image background in one click:
In the user interface (One UI 5.1), Samsung introduced a new feature called (Image Clipper) in the Gallery application, which provides you with the easiest way to edit images and remove their backgrounds with a single click.
To use this feature, all you have to do is open the photo you want to edit and long press on the photo, especially on the part you want to rip, be it a person or something else, and you'll see a pop - it will ask you if you can copy it, share it or save it to a file separate.
Alternatively, just like any other photo, you can drag and drop the part of the photo you want to crop anywhere on your phone. This includes dragging it into any app on your phone. You can also drag it to notes or messages if needed.
This feature uses machine learning to recognize certain things in photos, such as: B- Famous landmarks, flowers, plants, some breeds of pets, and even birds and insects.
