I don't know if it will work in my garage which is about 30 feet away from my router. My entire house and garage was covered in metal siding and a metal roof making it impossible to make calls, live streams, etc. The previous 2,500-foot stretch of network did not work at all. The best part is that I don't have to hang it outside, and it can fit on a shelf inside. Some other reviewers said it worked for them, so I tried it and voila! I wanted it to stand on a shelf but all the connections are at the bottom so I just mounted it to the side. It took me about 30 minutes to follow the setup instructions with my iPhone. I didn't unplug the ethernet cable from the computer (as above) because it was too hard to connect, but it still works. WavLink worked great and we now have WiFi in our metal garage!
