The 5G/Hub part of the device works well and has plenty of settings (more options than its 4G LTE Nighthawk predecessor).
Fortunately, this is the most important part of the device because I don't give it minimum scores in many other aspects.
Compared to the older 4G version with an amazing build quality, this phone looks like a steal. Nor is the price - it's astronomically expensive, like flagship 5G phones from major manufacturers like Samsung. The screen is pretty terrible (much worse than the old LTE version), even though it's a touch screen, which makes it easy to configure directly on the device. However, it appears to be a first-generation budget smartphone in two decades.
Currently in Canada, I'm not sure mmWave is available. TELUS only works with Sub-6. However, the performance is fast. Once mmWave is available, the device will support it, at least in theory. As I said in the beginning, all ergonomics and usability concerns are ultimately secondary (by far). I just hope this $1,300 tool is worth it.
