Very nice watch. It wouldn't pair with my phone because I couldn't get it to work. Yes, to update the weather/temperature of this device, you need to pair it with your phone. So it's more about what the weather looks like on your phone than what it actually is. In direct sunlight, you have to set the brightness to maximum to be able to see the clock. The brightness isn't particularly good at the top, but at least you can see the time. After pairing with the phone, all sounds will be transferred to the watch. I'm not sure how accurate the other functions are for steps etc. I bought it because it's digital and I love the design. I find the battery life to be very good. The watch displays the battery level before it needs to be charged. The only downside I can see with this watch is that in daylight/sunlight the brightness can be a bit brighter for better viewing. On the other hand, you can at least know the time I need. Otherwise, I love this watch.
